After hearing about the blog āfuckyeahreadmoresā, Iām urging my followers to refrain from tagging their personal posts as āpersonalā or āread moreā. Choose a more unique phrase that canāt be easily searched for, because for some reason there are sick fucks out there searching the āread moreā tag.
The page says āread mores dont make things privateā and yeah thats true and kind of obvious. The purpose of a āread moreā is to keep a post from being too long/clogging up people feeds and what not.
That being said, people use them to keep more private things out of the direct public eye. A lot of people will see a āread moreā thing and pass it over for what ever reason and just to be sure, they also tag it with āpersonalā or something like that⦠Most people donāt do it to keep a post private⦠I mean there is an option to make a post so that only you can see it. They use it just to feel comfortable ā in most cases whether they admit it or not, they want the post to be seen but they cover it so theyāre not ābothering peopleā
Who ever this person is just a jerk for purposefully trying to make people uncomfortable.
…
On one hand, I agree that this is a jerk thing to do.
On the other hand, I also see their POV; “read-more” does not make a post private. Any stranger can walk in and read those posts; all this person is doing it making you painfully aware of this fact. But it’s no more true now than it was before.
Maybe if enough people complain to tumblr staff, they’ll shut the blog down. Also, maybe a suggestion that a post can be marked “friends only”, and the ability to mark off select followers (mutual follows maybe?) as “friends” so that you can keep private posts within a close circle of friends; these posts would not be rebloggable, but would have replies enabled.
It’s a Christmas miracle!
Side blog posts have edit buttons now :D
Tumblr has finally fixed something!
(Side blogs) Great job, tumblr; how am I supposed to edit posts now?
Ranting about tumblr being a big garbageā¦

Tumblr’s acting weird…
Last night, all of my older notifications disappeared from one of my side blogs. (So-and-so reblogged this, such-and-such started stalking you, etc.)
Today, one of my tracked tags aren’t showing up on the side anymore, and it won’t let me re-track it.
What’s going on here?
EDIT: Ok, I figured out the tag thing; it’s under an extra link. OK, fine.
Thinking of making a blog for crafts…
… It would mostly be full of links and videos I find on youtube about how to do crafty things and stuff like that…

Tumblr needs a better system for editing posts in sub-blogs
On the main blog, you can just go to the post you want to edit and hit “edit”.
But on sub-blogs, you have to go through the dashboard, which means wading through all past posts. Can’t use tags because the damn search doesn’t work. And the mass post editor only allows you to add or remove tags.
I want to add a source link to a post.
FGYWRGHBLJKOIOVYUOBVYUOBHJKLHJNOI THIS IS STOOPID
EDIT: Ok, I found a way around it… “like” the post you want to edit. It will then be the first post in your “likes”, and you can edit it from there. Then, you can un-like it.
Tumb1r is NOT going to delete your blog.
ALL OF THESE “Reblog or you will lose your tumb1r” POSTS ARE FAKE.
“Weāll be censoring all of Tumblr in order to protest ACTA. Any blog that does not reblog this will be shut down and have all of its content removed.”
If you’re following the Tumb1r Staff Blog (you are by default, unless you specifically unfollow) you would have gotten such a post from them directly, if they had actually made the post to begin with.
They never made this post. Go see for yourself. It’s not there. Even if the “source” link points to the staff blog; that can be easily modified by anyone.

Tumblr is really noisy today!
I’ve been trying to catch up since about three, and only just got to the end a few minutes ago!
I think it’s been about 45 pages. And that’s not including the posts that get skipped from one page to the next.
