Pics or it didn’t happen
‘K…

They’re hanging on a clothes line that’s set up in the middle of the kitchen. “Why is there a clothesline running through the kitchen?” I hear you ask. Well, the answer is, quite simply, because my mom decided it needed to be there.
Ok, but seriously, when it was installed, there was a mouse problem all over the neighbourhood, and we were tired of throwing loaves of bread out because they had been “moused”. Can’t have a cat due to allergies, and these mice were too smart to get caught in traps. So we took to hanging the bread on the line.

oooh oooh oooh! I did it again!
Last night, was up ‘till about 4AM, managed to tie another pan chang, this time from memory :D Gotta pester my brother to get photos; he’s the only one with a camera.
Also… I wanna get the shiny cord they use to tie these things with. Shoe laces are good for practice, but not as nice looking.
Finally managed to do it…
I tied a “pan chang” knot.
Was a bit of a pain ‘cause I don’t have a cork/macrame board; had to use a knitting loom and my fingers. Also, I don’t have the right string for it, was using a funny sort of round gimp which made things even more difficult. Had to pull it really tight so the weaving would look right. Still, I’m just happy I managed to tie it at all. I’ve always loved Chinese knotting.
I followed the instructions here.
And yet, I still haven’t quite gotten the hang of friendship bracelets.
